Jesse Metcalfe opens up about challenging schedule for John Tucker Must Die Role!

John Tucker Must Die was a difficult movie as well as one that changed Jesse Metcalfe's career at 45. The American actor has acted in a number of movies and television series, including Martha's Vineyard Mysteries, Desperate Housewives, and Fortress.
On March 24, 2024, at Epic Cons Chicago, the actor spoke about his experiences filming this movie as his co-stars Arielle Kebbel and Sophia Bush were present on stage. The Country Wedding actor revealed, “I was not eating, and I was working out three times a day.” Many people in the audience were stunned by this. He remembered going to the gym as well, “anytime that I was not on set.”
In order to immerse himself in the part and project charisma, Jesse Metcalfe was portraying a young womanizer, “working out and eating salmon every night,” was a must. So Jesse took it “pretty darn seriously.” This followed Jesse Metcalfe's beloved and well-received appearance opposite Eva Longoria in Desperate Housewives. He "had a lot of anxiety" because this was his first significant assignment, which drove him to follow extremely rigid fitness and nutrition regimens. This increased the "pressure." The other actors say that the movie was challenging and that it "was rough in terms of body image" for each actor.
